Lakewood and Fairview hospitals to start sharing services soon

LAKEWOOD - Lakewood and Fairview hospitals, under unified management since the beginning of the year, will begin coordinating care and sharing services soon. Major changes include the end of trauma and inpatient pediatric care at Lakewood Hospital and the implementation of a plan to make the hospital the site of acute rehabilitation for Cleveland's West Side.

Lakewood to allow dogs in two city parks

LAKEWOOD - After months of discussion and debate, residents will be allowed to put their dogs on a leash and take them to Lakewood and Kauffman Lakewood & Kauffman parks will allow leashed dogsparks. City Council voted 3-2 in favor of legislation to allow dogs on standard 6-foot leash into the two parks beginning April 9.

Lakewood police, officials crack down to erase graffiti woes

Lakewood's future depends on keeping our schools strong. Our schools have proven to be accountable, but they're struggling in the current economy like everyone. They've had to cut more than $9 million from the budget in the last five years. To save additional money, our teachers and administrators recently agreed to a pay freeze.

It's time to protect our schools, our community, and our investment in Lakewood. To keep our schools strong, and our community thriving, we must pass Issue 6 this May 4th.
